The weekly briefing for your block
New planning applications, decisions and hearing dates within 250 m of your address, in plain words. No news that week, no email.
What you get
- New applications near you. Rezonings, site plans, minor variances and lot splits, each explained in a sentence: what’s proposed, where, and how far from your door.
- Decisions and changes. When a nearby application is approved, refused, appealed or postponed.
- Hearing dates. Upcoming Committee of Adjustment hearings and community meetings, with a calendar file you can add in one tap.
- A link to your full report for everything else about the address.
How it works
- Pick your address from the list and enter your email.
- We send a confirmation email. Nothing else arrives until you click it.
- From then on, a short email on Sundays when there’s something new.

Questions
What does it cost?
Nothing. There’s no account and no ads.
How often will I hear from you?
At most once a week, on Sunday. If nothing new was published near your address that week, we don’t send anything. You can also ask for a reminder a few days before a hearing.
What counts as “near”?
250 metres from your address by default, about a 3-minute walk. You can change it to 100 m, 500 m or 1 km after you confirm.
Where does the information come from?
City of Toronto open data: Development Applications and Committee of Adjustment applications, refreshed nightly. Every item links to the City’s record, where you can read the plans and comment.
How do I stop it?
Every email has an unsubscribe link that works with one click, straight away. You can also change your settings from any email.
What do you do with my email address?
We use it only to send the briefing. We never sell or share it. See the privacy policy for details.
